New York Attorneys for Adoption & Family Formation (NYAAFF) is an association of distinguished attorneys dedicated to shaping the future of adoption, assisted reproduction and child welfare in New York. With extensive experience, our members are leaders vetted in these fields, working hand-in-hand with individuals and agencies to form and protect families. We advocate in the New York courts and legislature for the rights, dignity and legal security of all children and families formed through assisted reproduction and adoption.
Society for Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy (SEEDS)
SEEDS is a nonprofit group which started with the intent of defining ethical practices for egg donation and surrogacy programs.
American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM)
ASRM is a multidisciplinary organization dedicated to the advancement of the science and practice of reproductive medicine. The Society accomplishes its mission through the pursuit of excellence in education and research and through advocacy on behalf of patients, physicians, and affiliated health care providers.
Approved FBI Clearance Channelers
FBI-approved Channelers receive the fingerprint submission and relevant data, collect the associated fee(s), electronically forward the fingerprint submission with the necessary information to the FBI CJIS Division for a national Criminal History Summary check, and receive the electronic summary check result for dissemination to the individual. An FBI-approved Channeler simply helps expedite the delivery of Criminal History Summary information on behalf of the FBI.
The Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys (AAAA) provides a credentialed presence in the law of family formation and is the largest professional organization of its type. AAAA and its attorneys are dedicated to the competent and ethical practice of adoption and ART law, advocating for laws and policies to protect the best interests of children, the legal status of families formed through adoption and ART, and the rights of all interested parties including birth parents, adoptive parents, surrogates, donors, and intended parents.
New York State Office of Children and Family Services: The Office of Children and Family Services serves New York’s public by promoting the safety, permanency and well-being of our children, families and communities. This site also contains lists of in state and out of state authorized foster care and adoption agencies.
New York City Administration for Children’s Services: This is New York City’s child welfare agency.
